How to find your target audience is probably one of the most important questions you can ask as a business owner and marketer.
It would be a good idea to pick something that you are passionate about because who wants to do something that isn’t fun and interesting for them?
If you do that then it will be more like a job and you don’t want another job do you?
Draw 3 intersecting circles. The spot in the middle where they meet is called the sweet spot. Color that in.
The circle on the left represents Passion. The circle on the right represents Demand.
The third one represents Ability. It’s best to have all 3. If you do that with as many topics as possible, then you’ll have some niches to choose from.
I think I heard that Dan Sullivan came up with that or that he has taught that before.
If I may, let me recommend a book that goes into great detail on this subject if you want to dig deeper. It’s called Unique Ability. You can get it on Amazon for a decent price. It’s by Catherine Nomura, Julia Waller.
As far as doing the research, if you’re not exactly sure how to go about finding your HTM strategy, (Hungry Target Market), check out this Youtube video that shows you how to do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lWN3GDs-Io
The more you can define your target market, the better you are positioned to offer them a better solution than your competitors.
Hope that helps,
